Solar Control

It is a long process to develop a product, especially if you also want it to be of good quality and reliable. We go through this process at length for each product. It is no different with our Solar Control. This consumer electronics product is used to control a pump that circulates the heat transfer fluid in a solar collector system. The first version was developed for our own use, without even being individually boxed. Only later was the first model produced. Unfortunately, this box was not cost-effective and we had to change.
For this reason, the PCB also had to be redesigned. From the second model we started to use a cheaper box, which also reduced the price of the finished product. The problem with this version was that the potentiometers were inside the box and could only be accessed by removing the back cover.

The third version did not get any potentiometers at all, but it did get a wifi module, which can be configured via a custom web interface. The problem with this was that the mechanics who used it preferred the potentiometer setting option.

So the current version has potentiometers, but they are located on the front panel, simplifying the setup.
